ONE PIECE (chapter 567) – Marine Headquarters, Marineford - Oris Ground
The pirates rush through the plaza, attacking the Marines they can while avoiding cannon fire. Whitebeard readies another attack, but is frozen by Aokiji. He breaks out of the ice using his quake powers and stabs Aokiji, who phases through it with his ice powers, not hurt from a “willpower” imbued weapon. But Jaws (Jozu in...

ONE PIECE (chapter 566) – Fierce Attack!
The admirals are unphased by Luffy’s attacks. He uses Gear Second to try to pass them with his speed, but Kizaru cuts him off, saying he’s too slow. Sengoku tells the executioners that it’s time to kill Ace, but they’re stopped by Crocodile. Sengoku thought that he would be after Whitebeard instead due to his grudge, but because...

Shonen Sunday - November 29, 2009
So remember last week when I complained how the One Piece release after the break was merely good, but not great? Yeah, that changed this week, with the manga release of the prequel to One Piece Movie 10: Strong World. Releasing sometime in December, the author thought it would be good to let us have a peak at both the movie antagonist’s backstory along with a teaser of what happened...

So Thanksgiving is this week. Lots of food and lots of fun to be had by all. Try not to get too stuff out there that you get a food coma. Sorry about not getting this out over the weekend. Busy getting costumes together for Anime Los Angeles. I had two costumes to prepare, with another as a back-up in case the first one fell through, but now my cosplay group decided to change it up to a group...

So close to getting this out on Sunday. Missed it by 20 minutes, hahaha. So PMX (Pacific Media Expo) was this past weekend. I didn’t go. I went last year, and it was only okay, but didn’t feel worth the price of admission to me. If any of you went, feel free to let me know if it’s improved in any way. What did you like, and what did you dislike. What can be improved, and...

Thanks to pre-Halloween, Halloween, and post-Halloween shenanigans, this week’s edition of Shonen Weekend sort of fell by the wayside. Sorry for the delay there, folks. Enjoy!
ONE PIECE (chapter 561) – Pirate Maelstrom Spider Squad
The army of Pacifistas surprises both the pirates and the Saobody onlookers. Sentoumaru notices that the pirates aren’t where they’re supposed to...

Less than a week away for Halloween! Everyone got their costumes ready? Anything scary, awesome, or scary awesome for you guys out there? Ladies, don’t kid yourself. What slutty/scandalous costume will you wear? And since this is about manga reviews, is anyone cosplaying from one of the mangas I am or used to review? I guess I should mention mine first. I’m going as the Dread...

So I’ve finally decided what to do. I’m going to cut down on the mangas I review. It’s best for everyone. While I thouroughly enjoyed bringing you guys information about manga you most likely wouldn’t pick up, sadly, I just don’t have the time for all of them, especially with Weekly Shonen Jump having SEVEN mangas for my reviews. So now, I’m just going to do...

Sorry for the delay. It’s actually getting tougher to write these reviews at the moment. So there’s something that I have to do in order to get these out on time. I’m either going to have to drop a few series to make it easy for myself, or instead I’ll have to break up the reviews and do them in two parts, twice a week. I think I’ll try that out for a bit, and...

Spoiler Free Movie Review - Paranormal Activity
I’m not much of a horror movie guy, but I caught Paranormal Activity at midnight with a few buddies. It was quite the frightening experience. I’m keeping this short as to not hype up the movie as well as keep it spoiler free, but all you need to know is that it’s a well built piece with good tension building and diffusion. Go watch it!
Verdict: Popped!

Sorry for the delay. It happens when it’s your brother’s last weekend in California before he goes to Marine job training in North Carolina this week. TV Blog - America's Best Dance Crew - Finale
Hey all, So Sunday crowned We Are Heroes as Season 4 Winners. Congratulations! Although the rage reaction had Afroborike won would’ve been awesome.
Now it’s no surprise that this season was pretty weak overall. Watching this past season brewed things that fell short this time around, and possible ideas to switch it up.
1) Extend Voting Times - This is possibly the biggest thing they...

Part two of what I published on Friday. So if you were curious, the wedding weekend was a blast! No one objected, which is always a good thing. It was a touching ceremony. The reception afterwards was crazy fun. Is “off the hook” too 90s early 2000s? What do you youngsters say nowadays? Anyways, Beelzebub is absent this week. Not exactly sure why. And since Hajime no Ippo was included...

Pre-wedding edition. Basically, I’ll be reviewing the two manga’s I missed last week: Hajime no Ippo and Beelzebub. Also, the groups scanslating Psyren have caught up again, so chapter 87 is reviewed here as well. It looks like the shonen magazine that puts out History’s Strongest Disciple Kenichi and Fairy Tail are taking a break this week, as both of those chapters are late...

So with a scheduled return, a few issues missing this week. Beelzebub has yet to be scanned, and we had Ippo early for the past few weeks, so it was bound to fall back to normal eventually. 7. Keep Marshall’s hair short please. Kthxbai.
6. No one in the main cast gets pregnant - I think it would really kill the flow of the series introducing a new character like that. Lily nearly scared me in the finale.

DVD REVIEW: I Love You, Man
MOVIE REVIEW:
I saw this film back when it first came out in theaters with fellow PopcornKid toyyg. I loved every minute of it. ‘Inglourious Basterds’ had been in development by Quentin Tarantino for nearly 15 years. Given the event at which I saw the film, the anticipation from the audience was through the roof. The screening kicked off with an announcement, that we were the first public...

FILM REVIEW: Park-Chan Wook's 'Thirst'
This is the first film I’ve seen by Park-Chan wook. It is a story of a priest who becomes a vampire through a blood transfusion. This transformation makes him question his values and beliefs, leading him to an immoral immortal life. What intrigued me most about the film was the way the different themes were interwoven to tell a compelling story. Faith, morality, love, family and...

Ever since American Idol, competition based TV shows have come and gone, but America’s Best Dance Crew (MTV 9PM Sundays) holds something special to me. FILM REVIEW: Funny People
This is my lazy attempt at a movie review post-Comic-con. I got to see this film a couple weeks ago at a screening. The trailers and ads don’t tell you too much about the film; it’s obvious they had somewhat of a hard time marketing for it. Here’s how I sum it up:
- Funny? Yes! Especially the self-deprecating jokes that nudge at their real-life selves. It’s the Apatow...

EVENT: Mortified Show in Hollywood - July 15, 2009
The idea behind the show is reading/performing actual entries from your childhood/teenage journals and diaries. Such a show can bring up extremely personal aspects of the performer’s past as well as humiliating memories. Ichnob's Top 6 Comic Con Moments
With Comic Con over and done with, and after a day of rest and thought process, I can finally post what my best experiences this year were. So here’s the rundown:

So I wanted to try to do the manga reviews while at Comic Con, since there was free WiFi at the convention center. Yeah, that was a no-go. I thought, “Hey! But it was still fun, nonetheless. ...

While we wait for our favorite TV Series to come back on, there are entertaining series being made and broadcast every day. Dariane and I were lucky enough to catch the SDCC screening of the “true” Dollhouse season one closer.

Dariane’s comments:
So my only prior experience to a Coldplay performance was this disaster on SNL back in October 2008 when Jon Hamm hosted. The NBC and SNL Producers showed that Coldplay was, in fact, too cool for school by giving them THREE songs to perform instead of the usual two. Their performance horrified me so much that I vowed that Coldplay would be the one band I would not want...
