After a very lukewarm episode 3, ABDC goes far out to issue the Bollywood challenge to the 6 crews vying to be named America’s Best Dance Crew. Crews are to incorporate a Bollywood dance style into their routine.
In order of Performance:
Massive Monkees - Dance Style: Bhangra- Song; “Bang” by Rye Rye- Not bad, very solid performance. Still peg them around the level of Boogie Bots, but their popularity might be enough to take them to the finals.
Vogue Evolution - Dance Style: Rajasthani - Song: “Calabria 2008” by Enur - Dance introduces a shawl as a prop. Leiomy’s stunt was pretty unexpected and was honestly pretty sick. Aside from that and the intro, however, it might not be enough to stay on top.
Rhythm City - Dance Style: Bharatanatyam - Song: “Jai Ho! (You are my Destiny)” by A.R. Rahman & Pussycat Dolls - Favorite Performance tonight by far. They defniitely have something that the rest of the crews don’t have… Intensity, versatility, creativitely, or a combination of all three.
Afroborike - Dance Style: Kathak - Song: “Dance Bailalo” by Kat DeLuna - Demonstrates their ability to pair up as a strength. Wasn’t a fan at first but this week shows of their strength, and it’s nice to have a crew that operates differently than most of the hip hop crews still in the game.
Elimination Showdown
We Are Heroes - Dance Style: Giddha - Song: “Arab Money” by Busta Rhymes & Ron Browz - It was good, but this is the point where just good is dangerous, with one of their members (Mami) injured, it’s definitely something that will affect their future performances, even if it was subtle this week.
Beat Ya Feet Kingz - Dance Style: Garba - Song “So Fine” by Sean Paul - With elimination on the line, they seemed to have created a routine that could top WAH’s performance. The hat trick was sick, the formations worked pretty well.
Elimination Result - 2 solid performances, 1 crew leaves… and that crew is Beat Ya Feet Kingz. With some final words, their banner falls and We Are Heroes stays another week.
Closing Thoughts - Slightly surprised by the elimination result, but it was close enough to go either way. Much better than the off putting Martial Arts Episode last week. Next week’s challenge is Dance Craze Challenge… always a popular episode. Will be interesting to see. Predicting Vogue Evolution or We Are Heroes to go home. See you on Sunday!
